Delete Your Data or Close Your Account
Updated
Both options are on the Data tab of your profile. To get there, select the account button at the top right (your initial and first name), then Profile, then Data.
Can’t sign in, or never finished activating your account? You can still close it.
Which One You Want
- Delete my data removes your statements and savings history. Your account and sign-in stay, so you can start again with new statements.
- Close my account deletes everything, including your profile and sign-in, and frees your email address.
Scheduled or Right Away
Each option offers two choices.
- Scheduled (recommended). Select Schedule deletion or Schedule closure. Your data is hidden right away and permanently deleted later. The app shows the date, and you can restore everything any time before then.
- Right away. Select Delete immediately and type DELETE, or Close immediately and type CLOSE. This can’t be undone. Closing right away signs you out, and you can’t sign back in.
Changing Your Mind
While a deletion or closure is scheduled, your dashboard says so and offers a button to restore your data or keep your account. The email we send you when you schedule it has a link to sign in and restore.
You can’t upload new statements while a deletion is scheduled. Restore your data first.
If You Subscribe
- Deleting your data doesn’t cancel your subscription. It keeps running until you cancel it on the Plan & billing tab.
- Closing your account needs the subscription canceled first. Cancel it on Plan & billing, then close your account.
- Deleting your data doesn’t reset your free statements. Statements you’ve already used stay used.
Can’t Sign In, or Never Finished Activating?
- Never finished activating: sign in at app.myfuelsavings.com. At the bottom of the activation page, under Changed your mind?, select Close this account, type CLOSE and confirm. The account closes right away and you’re signed out. This can’t be undone.
- Can’t sign in at all: email help@myfuelsavings.com from the address on the account and ask us to close it. We’ll reply to confirm when it’s done.
The Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information when you delete it.
